Jetour has officially launched the facelifted T2 in China, introducing major styling, technology and powertrain upgrades to the SUV just weeks after its introduction in Pakistan.
Known as the Traveller 7 in China, the refreshed T2 retains its boxy SUV design but receives several exterior updates. The front now features round headlights connected by a full-width LED light strip, while the Jetour branding has been moved to the bonnet.
The front and rear bumpers have also been redesigned with additional body-coloured elements. At the rear, the facelifted model gets a new spoiler and revised styling.
Inside, the T2 continues to feature a 15.6-inch infotainment display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. However, the infotainment system has been upgraded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 processor, 24GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also features iFlytek Spark generative AI voice controls.
Other premium features include 10-way power-adjustable seats with eight-point massage, 256-colour ambient lighting and a 23-speaker surround-sound system.
The biggest changes have been made to the plug-in hybrid version. The updated T2 PHEV continues to use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine but replaces the previous three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission with a single-speed system.
Two LFP battery options are available. The 26.61kWh battery provides up to 108km of WLTP-rated electric range, while the larger 45.12kWh battery offers up to 173km of WLTP electric range. The larger battery replaces the previous 43.24kWh unit, which offered 162km of electric range.
Jetour claims a combined driving range of up to 1,400km under the CLTC testing cycle.
The facelift is particularly relevant to Pakistan, where Jetour has recently started local CKD assembly of the T2 i-DM. The Pakistan-spec model currently uses an 18.4kWh LFP battery and offers a claimed electric range of around 90km under the NEDC cycle.
The first locally assembled T2 i-DM rolled off the production line earlier this month, highlighting Jetour’s growing focus on local production and the Pakistani EV market.
