The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a fast-track domicile issuance system aimed at reducing processing delays, improving transparency, and making public services more accessible to citizens.
The provincial government has approved significant reforms to the domicile issuance process by integrating it with the Dastak mobile application and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system. Officials say the initiative is part of a broader business process re-engineering model designed to enhance efficiency and streamline citizen services.
Under the new framework, domicile applications verified through NADRA records will be processed and issued within one day. Applicants whose residential address has remained unchanged for up to three years will also benefit from the fast-track procedure.
For cases involving address changes within the past one to three years, authorities will complete verification within three days. Applications related to more recent address changes will be reviewed by district-level committees, with decisions expected within ten days.
Officials stated that the integration of domicile software with the Dastak app and NADRA’s CRVS database will help automate verification procedures, minimize paperwork, and reduce unnecessary delays.
As part of the reforms, citizens will also be able to complete biometric verification through the NADRA Pak ID application or designated E-Sahulat centers, providing greater convenience and accessibility.
The provincial government believes the new system will significantly improve service delivery, enhance transparency, and ensure that citizens receive domicile certificates in a timely and efficient manner.
