The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally launched virtual classes in Khyber district under its Good Governance Roadmap, marking the first such initiative in the tribal district.
The digital education initiative was inaugurated at Sahibzada Abdul Qayum Khan School under the supervision of the district administration.
Through the Global Virtual School Hub in Peshawar, students in Khyber district will now attend online classes conducted by qualified teachers from across the province. The program will also provide access to modern curricula and digital learning resources.
Officials said the newly established classrooms have been equipped with artificial intelligence-based teaching systems and modern technology to improve the quality of education.
The initiative aims to provide students in the merged districts with learning opportunities comparable to those available in major cities.
The district administration said the project reflects the provincial government’s commitment to expanding access to quality education for children in the merged districts.
Officials described the launch as an important milestone in integrating students from Khyber district into the modern digital education system while creating new academic and professional opportunities.
