Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar on Wednesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art carbonated soft drinks production line at the manufacturing facility of Murree Brewery in Rawalpindi.
The minister was received by Murree Brewery Chief Executive Officer Isfanyar Bhandara, who briefed him on the newly installed production line. He said the fully automated system, imported from China, will significantly increase the company’s carbonated soft drinks production capacity while maintaining high quality standards.
Speaking to the media, Senator Tarar described the installation of the new production line as a positive development for Pakistan’s industrial sector. He said sustainable economic growth depends on strengthening domestic industries and equipping them with modern technologies.
He noted that increasing local production would help reduce reliance on imports while enabling the country to meet its growing consumer demand more effectively.
CEO Isfanyar Bhandara said the expansion project is also expected to create around 100 new employment opportunities, contributing to economic growth and job creation.
The law minister appreciated Murree Brewery’s investment in advanced technology and its expansion in the soft drinks sector. He said that despite the adoption of modern automated machinery, the project would generate new employment opportunities and support industrial development.
Senator Tarar reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting industrial growth, saying a stronger manufacturing sector creates jobs, boosts trade and contributes to a more resilient national economy.
He congratulated Isfanyar Bhandara on the successful installation of the production line and expressed hope that the company would continue investing to further expand its production capacity.
During the visit, the minister toured the facility and reviewed various sections of the new production line, where he was briefed on the manufacturing process and praised the plant’s modern technology and automation systems.
