Lineage OS, which is the successor of the CyanogenMod, is no longer being officially supported on 30 mobile devices. The support is being ended due to inactive repository maintainers on Github since the entire code is open source, the OS relies on a community of developers for maintenance and upgrades. If the developers go inactive, Lineage automatically drops support for the devices.
Given below is a list of devices affected:
Lineage OS 15.1 (Oreo)
Lineage OS 14.1 (Nougat)
Taking a brief look at the list, the majority of the phones are fairly old except a few such as Xiaomi Mi Max which was released just 2 years ago. It is not necessary that these devices will not be supported by Lineage permanently, if a group of developers jumps in again, the support will get restored.
Have you used Lineage OS?
