Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MOITT) is seeking top-tier technology professionals to drive its digital transformation, with seven high-level positions recently announced. The government aims to strengthen the country’s digital economy, e-governance, and emerging technology initiatives by bringing in experienced experts for strategic leadership roles.

The openings include one adviser, five director-level positions, and one expert role, each requiring at least 10 years of professional experience. Key roles focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital public services, and internet governance.

The Adviser for Emerging Technologies Research will guide national strategies in AI, blockchain, cloud computing, semiconductors, and cybersecurity. This role also involves analyzing global tech trends and ensuring coordination with provincial authorities.

Director-level roles include E-Governance, Digital Economy, Internet Governance, Cybersecurity & Privacy, and Emerging Skills. The E-Governance director will lead nationwide digital service reforms, develop standards, and align initiatives with international best practices. The Digital Economy director will focus on policy frameworks to support innovation, fintech growth, and technology-driven economic activity.

The Expert in Emerging Technologies (AI & ML) will provide specialized knowledge to inform policy decisions and emerging tech adoption. This recruitment drive highlights Pakistan’s push for a coordinated, research-driven digital strategy.
