Motorola has introduced a new Android app called Global Connect in partnership with Gigs. The app is now available on the Google Play Store in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, and Chile. The company also plans to expand its availability to several European markets later this year.
In addition, Motorola has pre-installed the app on many compatible smartphones. This makes it easier for users to access mobile data while traveling without installing another app.
Global Connect offers eSIM data plans for users in countries around the world. Customers can choose from different plans based on their budget and data needs. Each plan includes a specific data allowance at different price points.
Motorola also gives new users 1GB of free mobile data. This complimentary data can be used across 160 countries, allowing travelers to stay connected as soon as they arrive. Furthermore, the app supports 5G connectivity where it is available. After selecting a plan, the eSIM activates instantly. Users can then start using mobile data without waiting for manual setup.
The overall experience works like other eSIM apps. However, the built-in support on compatible Motorola devices offers a more convenient way to manage international mobile data plans.
