The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 data breach continues to intensify. Since mid-August, the infamous hacker, Cyberleek, has dropped daily gameplay footage. Recently, the leaker released highly anticipated nudist town gameplay. Now, Cyberleek threatens to leak Lucia’s prologue. Fortunately, Netflix and Rockstar Games are completely ignoring these massive threats. Netflix recently refreshed its social media profiles with a very encouraging update about the GTA 6 Extended Look:
Next Stop: Vice City.
No Delays for the Official Netflix GTA 6 Extended Look
Previously, some fans speculated that Rockstar might delay the official presentation due to the ongoing leaks. However, reportedly, delaying the showcase was never on the table. Netflix remains completely silent regarding the hacker situation. Instead, the streaming giant leaves all legal and security work to Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive. Currently, Take-Two continues issuing subpoenas to find the leaker’s source. Meanwhile, Rockstar consoles its frustrated developers. Consequently, Netflix focuses purely on marketing the massive debut.
Rockstar Games, Take-Two, and Netflix originally announced this exclusive premiere partnership on August 6. The highly anticipated ‘GTA 6: An Extended Look‘ presentation debuts exclusively on Netflix in three days. It will air on August 28 at 12:00 AM PKT and August 27 at 12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET. Later that day, the footage will hit YouTube at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 AM PKT. Rumors suggest the presentation might actually act as a three-episode mini-series. However, Rockstar has not confirmed this format yet. Regardless, it will provide the world’s first official look at actual gameplay.
The Imminent Spoiler Threat
Despite this exciting official news, the hacker’s escalation remains a massive problem. Cyberleek continues teasing a massive drop of Lucia’s prologue. If this happens, severe story spoilers will hit the internet roughly three months before the game’s official November 19 release date.
Currently, experts predict that interest in Cyberleek’s small-fry leaks will die off immediately once Rockstar officially shows Vice City in action. However, if the hacker drops the prologue first, the damage will remain permanent. Ultimately, the next few days will define the climax of this entire saga.
