CyberLeek continues to flood the internet with Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 footage. Recently, the leaker released their ninth GTA 6 gameplay leak, featuring over two minutes of gameplay. This streak began on August 18. CyberLeek claims they are “fighting for gamers” against Rockstar’s anti-consumer practices. Furthermore, the leaker aggressively leverages these videos to promote their own cryptocurrency, $CYBERLEEK. This meme coin surpassed a $27 million market cap on the exact same day the new leak surfaced.
New GTA 6 Leak Reveals Florida Man Easter Egg & Faster Traffic
The newest clip, titled “gas2”, serves as a sequel to the previous gas station robberies. The footage shows protagonist Jason at a gas station. An NPC has parked a pickup truck with a bathtub in its bed and is attempting to fill the tub with gasoline. The NPC shouts:
The government is stealing my gas!
This perfectly matches the bizarre “Florida man” sovereign-citizen archetype.

This encounter directly mirrors real-world events. In April 2022, Delray Beach police arrested a man for pumping gas into a concealed tank in his Chevy Silverado’s bed. Similarly, a 2020 Southwest Miami-Dade case involved a man storing stolen fuel in his pickup.

The footage clearly comes from an unfinished development build. The wacky NPC exhibits severe animation glitches. His arm twitches erratically in multiple directions while handling the gas nozzle. Jason eventually steals the pickup truck. The NPC tries to reclaim it but ends up on the ground. Jason reverses and runs the man over, accompanied by a visceral crunch sound effect.
Afterward, Jason flees the scene and carelessly merges onto a road. He instantly collides with another vehicle and dies. This sequence reveals that GTA 6 road traffic moves significantly faster and yields far less to the player than in previous games. Additionally, Jason’s death provides the first alleged look at the game’s “Wasted” screen, though it may just be a placeholder.
Lucia Teased & Rockstar’s Reaction
Until now, the leaks exclusively featured Jason. Some fans speculated that CyberLeek possessed a heavily restricted build due to Lucia’s complete absence. However, the final seconds of the ninth leak switch to a brief clip of Jason in a public bathroom. A “Return to Lucia” objective appears at the bottom of the screen. This detail confirms Lucia exists in CyberLeek’s work-in-progress copy.
Despite the ongoing chaos, former Rockstar Games technical developer Obbe Vermeij has urged fans to remain calm. Vermeij, who worked at the studio from 1995 to 2009, posted on X that the leaks are a “nothing burger”. He explained that Rockstar’s marketing strategy is simply to keep the game under wraps longer than other publishers. Furthermore, he noted that 90% of future players do not look for video snippets because they lack the time and do not want spoilers.
Vermeij drew on his experience during the infamous Hot Coffee scandal. He stated that the current leaks are far less consequential. He believes the development teams are only a little annoyed. Ultimately, he predicted GTA 6 will be phenomenal, sell for the next 15 years, and that these leaks are just a tiny blip.
Meanwhile, Take-Two Interactive continues its aggressive response. The publisher has issued subpoenas to Discord and Microsoft to uncover the leaker’s identity. However, authorities have not caught CyberLeek yet. Fans will finally see a polished version of the game on August 28 during the GTA 6 Extended Look presentation on Netflix.
