Honda Pakistan is expected to unveil the seventh-generation Honda City at the upcoming Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS), signaling a potential shift in the sedan lineup of the company, which has remained largely unchanged in the local market since 2021.
A teaser posted on the official Facebook page of the Pakistan Auto Show has fueled speculation about the launch. Although the teaser does not name the manufacturer or model, its design closely resembles the seventh-generation City.
Honda has not confirmed whether the vehicle will only be displayed at PAPS or whether bookings will also open at the event. The seventh-generation City was first introduced internationally in 2019 and has since been updated in several markets, including India and Thailand.
It is built on Honda’s GN platform and is offered globally in both sedan and hatchback forms, though the hatchback variant remains exclusive to select Southeast Asian markets, making its introduction in Pakistan unlikely.
Internationally, the sedan is powered by a 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine that generates 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, paired with manual or CVT transmission options.
Higher-end variants come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera and Honda Sensing safety suite.
Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan has not yet confirmed the specifications, features or pricing for the local version.
Automakers in Pakistan typically offer reduced feature sets compared to international models to keep vehicles competitively priced, meaning the local City could differ from its global counterpart. Details on pricing and bookings are expected closer to the official launch of the vehicle.
