Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has inaugurated a new flyover at Korangi No. 5, a road infrastructure project completed at a cost of nearly Rs. 750 million.
The flyover has been opened to traffic with the aim of improving traffic flow and strengthening connectivity between several key areas of Karachi.
The new bridge will connect Ibrahim Hyderi, Shah Faisal Colony, Landhi, and Korangi, providing motorists with a smoother route between these areas.
According to Mayor Murtaza Wahab, the project is expected to ease traffic movement around Korangi No. 5 by offering motorists a dedicated elevated route.
The improved connection is also expected to benefit residents and businesses in the surrounding residential and commercial areas by making daily commuting more convenient.
Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the flyover alongside Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah and other Pakistan Peoples Party representatives.
The mayor said the project is part of the ongoing infrastructure development being carried out in Karachi under the #KarachiWorks initiative.
The completion of the Korangi No. 5 flyover marks another road infrastructure project aimed at improving transportation links and addressing traffic-related challenges in the city.
Authorities expect the newly opened flyover to contribute to smoother traffic movement and better connectivity across Karachi.
