The Sindh government has announced the launch of a new Peoples Bus Service route connecting Larkana with Shahdadkot through Qambar. The new route will become operational from September 18, 2026.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Department chaired by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. The meeting reviewed ongoing public transport projects and plans to expand bus services to additional cities and districts across the province.
Under the new route, buses will operate between Larkana and Shahdadkot via Qambar, providing residents of the three cities and nearby areas with an additional public transport option.
Sharjeel Inam Memon directed officials to ensure that the new service begins on the announced date and that passengers are provided with the necessary facilities.
The minister said the new route would improve public transport access for residents of Larkana, Qambar, Shahdadkot and surrounding areas. He added that the Sindh government plans to expand the Peoples Bus Service to more cities and districts across the province.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of existing public transport services, including the Green Line and Orange Line BRT.
Officials informed the meeting that daily ridership on the Green Line has reached 88,000 passengers, while more than 11,000 passengers use the Orange Line each day.
The expansion of the Peoples Bus Service is expected to provide improved connectivity and more affordable transportation options for residents in different parts of Sindh.
