After a serious backlash from the community over the broken economy, developer Rockstar has responded by pushing out a patch aiming to fix as many issues as possible. The update comes just a week after Red Dead Online’s launch. It should hopefully fix the grind problem and less overall reward system.
“We are starting to implement the first set of adjustments to the game,” reads a Rockstar press release. “[That includes] changes specifically geared toward creating a more balanced, fun, and rewarding overall experience across all modes and missions.”
Rockstar said that these tweaks include adjusting the prices as well as increasing payouts of cash and gold. The good news here is that those players who tried the Online beta will be getting free cash. Also if you brought something and the update reduces its price, you’ll get a refund equal to the difference in their pricing.
Here is an overview of all the big changes coming in the update,
Rockstar has acknowledged their mistake and said that they are working towards fixing it. “Of course our efforts to improve and balance the Red Dead Online Beta will continue,” Rockstar said. These fixes also include bug fixes and other optimization improvements.
A player who played the beta will be getting in-game currency of $250 and 15 gold bars. While Rockstar has started walking in the right direction, we can’t say for sure if the update will entirely fix the issue.
