The rumors are officially true. Olivia Rodrigo recently confirmed her upcoming Fortnite skin. She shared a brief Instagram Story to break the news. Consequently, fans finally have their first look at the highly anticipated cosmetic. Epic Games plans a full reveal for later this summer.
Previously, Epic teased the crossover in-game. Developers added a unique tree featuring a pink swing and a lodged knife. Naturally, eagle-eyed players connected these items to Rodrigo’s latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love”. She released this third studio album just over a week ago, on June 12.
In her Instagram confirmation, Rodrigo posted a five-second video. She played the iOS version of Fortnite in the clip. Towards the end, the screen briefly showed her character gliding across the map. This glide clearly displayed the new cosmetic.

A Retro Look & Release Date of Olivia Rodrigo Skin
The upcoming outfit directly mirrors Rodrigo’s look on her latest album cover. Specifically, it evokes a retro soda-fountain or diner waitress uniform, though it lacks a traditional apron.
The aesthetic is distinct and vintage. The outfit features a pink mini-dress paired with a crisp white Peter Pan collar. Additionally, matching sleeve cuffs and a buttoned front complete the design. This comfy style sharply contrasts with the upside-down pose she struck for the album’s cover art.
Gamers will not have to wait long. According to recent leaks, the skin will launch alongside Fortnite Festival Season 15. Currently, the Laufey-themed Season 14 runs until July 29, 2026. Therefore, fans expect the Rodrigo crossover to drop immediately after, in late July.
Furthermore, leakers report this release belongs to the Icon Series. As a result, the cosmetic pack should include a full outfit, back bling, an emote, a pickaxe, and a spray. Some of these items may also feature multiple stylistic variants, similar to the recent Vinicius Jr. Icon Series bundle.
Building on Festival Success
This release marks a major step, but Rodrigo already has an established history with Epic Games. Previously, her collaborations exclusively lived inside the Fortnite Festival mode. Epic added her hit “Vampire” shortly after the mode launched in December 2023. Subsequently, “Get Him Back” and “Good 4 U” joined the Jam Track lineup in January 2024.
Audience overlap clearly drives this ongoing partnership. Epic actively invests in expanding Fortnite beyond a standard battle royale. Fortnite Festival proves this strategy works. By focusing on rhythm gameplay and shared social experiences, the mode perfectly suits artists with a massive cultural reach. Rodrigo’s catalog, blending catchy hooks with sharp pop-rock structures, translates flawlessly into these rhythm mechanics.
