The foldable smartphone market could see major changes in 2027. While Apple and Samsung are expected to introduce wide-screen foldable phones, Oppo may also join the trend with its next-generation foldable device.
A new leak from China has revealed fresh details about Oppo’s upcoming foldable smartphone. According to the source on Weibo, the company is working on a wide-screen foldable that could launch as the Oppo Find N7 Wide.
The biggest highlight of the device could be its display. The tipster claims that the phone will feature a nearly crease-free folding screen. If true, this would address one of the biggest concerns users have with foldable smartphones.
In addition, Oppo may introduce a new camera design for the device. The leak suggests that the company will replace the circular camera island used on previous Find N models. Instead, the upcoming foldable could feature a horizontally aligned rear camera module.
At this stage, it remains unclear how Oppo plans to expand its foldable lineup. The company could launch two foldable models next year. One model may adopt the new wide-screen design, while another could arrive as a direct successor to the Oppo Find N6.
The same leak also shared information about Oppo’s next flagship smartphone, the Find X10 Ultra. According to the source, the device will feature a bezel-less display. However, it is expected to retain a camera module design similar to the current Find X9 Ultra.
Although Oppo has not confirmed any of these details, rumors suggest that the company’s wide-screen foldable could make its debut during the first quarter of 2027. More information is expected to surface in the coming months as the launch date gets closer.
