Google is expanding the way Android users share files with Apple devices. What started as a limited feature for the Pixel 10 lineup is now reaching more brands. Oppo is the latest to confirm support for the upgraded Quick Share system, which now connects smoothly with Apple’s AirDrop.
At first, Google rolled out AirDrop compatibility inside Quick Share only for the Pixel 10 family. Soon after, the company widened support to more of its own devices. Recently, Google announced that other Android manufacturers would also gain access to the improved Quick Share experience. Now Oppo has officially joined that list.
Oppo says the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will receive a software update later this month. This update will activate Quick Share and AirDrop interconnection. Once installed, users of the Find X9, Find X9 Pro, and the upcoming Find X9 Ultra will be able to send files to Apple devices as easily as they do between Android phones.
In practical terms, this means photos, videos, and documents can move between Oppo smartphones and devices running iOS, iPadOS, and macOS without extra apps. According to the source, users will not need to install any third-party software. The company adds that transfers will remain secure and simple while improving cross-platform interoperability.
Oppo also confirmed that it developed this feature in partnership with Google and MediaTek. That collaboration signals a deeper push to break down walls between Android and Apple ecosystems.
Previously, Oppo relied on its O+Connect app for file transfers with an iPhone. However, iPhone users had to install a separate third-party app for it to work. That extra step often discouraged users. Now, with native Quick Share support, the process becomes far more seamless and user-friendly.
