December 25 is observed nationwide to mark the birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. On the same day, the Christian community celebrates Christmas. With both events falling on December 25, the entire country observes it as a full public holiday.

Public Holiday on December 26

December 26 has been declared a holiday to allow Christians to continue their Christmas celebrations. On this day, schools, offices, and most private organizations will remain closed, giving citizens an extended two-day break.
