TPL Trakker, the company behind the mapping application TPL Maps, intends to expand its mapping services to Iran, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh over the next three years.

TPL Maps is a mapping application that offers live traffic updates, intelligent routing, 3D maps, voice navigation and category based searches in Pakistan. Given that some of these features are either not available or don’t work appropriately in competing apps in Pakistan, the app was very popular at its release.

The expansion into other countries is part of the company’s goal of providing mapping services to areas not properly served by other providers. The company CEO, Mr. M. Ali Jameel expressed hope of making TPL Trakker “a significant player in the mapping space.” They also aim at making TPL Maps one of the most frequently used apps by providing additional services such as food delivery.

The app is intended to continue being free for users, with advertising for revenue. The app is one of the many products the company offers, the others mainly intended for corporate customers. And they intend to keep expanding into other businesses as well.
