The wait is finally over. The monthly selection of PS Plus Essential free games for February 2026 is officially available for download. You can grab these titles right now on both PS5 and PS4 consoles.
Previously, Sony issued a warning to subscribers regarding the removal of PS4 games from the service. However, the company has yet to execute this plan. In fact, three of the four new titles are playable on the PS4. This month offers a diverse mix of genres, ensuring there is something for everyone.
The lineup features four distinct games. The boxing title Undisputed headlines the list. Joining it are Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
Undisputed is the only title exclusive to the PS5. It markets itself as “the most authentic boxing game to date”. While opinions vary, the game focuses on the core value of beating up an opponent. The developer has improved the gameplay, mechanics, and graphics since its launch in late 2024. However, players should note the mixed reception due to online issues and a lack of depth in career mode.
Subnautica: Below Zero serves as the second chapter in the franchise. This open-world, underwater survival game invites players to an alien ocean planet. Here, you must uncover the truth behind your sister’s death. It is distinct from the in-development Subnautica 2.
Ultros offers a “trippy” experience for Metroidvania fans. It features a unique setting called “The Sarcophagus”, a cosmic uterus holding an ancient, demonic baby.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown rounds out the list with strong flight combat gameplay, though it is purely the PS4 version.
Interestingly, the headliner carries the lowest critical rating. Undisputed holds a Metacritic score of 70. Meanwhile, the supporting titles performed significantly better. Subnautica: Below Zero leads the pack with a score of 82. Ultros and Ace Combat 7 follow closely with scores of 81 and 80, respectively.
If you are looking for long-term value, this month delivers. The combined playtime for these titles clocks in at approximately 73.5 hours.

This selection follows the January lineup, which included Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. While that month was just “okay” and disappointed some fans, February aims to strengthen the library.
