The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 final has been rescheduled to begin at 8pm, following an extension to the closing ceremony timings of the tournament.
The toss between Hyderabad Kings Men and Peshawar Zalmi will now take place at 7:30pm, giving both teams additional preparation time before play begins.
The closing ceremony of the final is scheduled to commence at 6:30pm, running for one full hour before the toss and the subsequent start of the final encounter.
The original schedule had set the toss for 6:30pm and the match start for 7pm, but those timings were revised to accommodate the extended ceremony.
Ahead of the final, the tournament’s Infinity Trophy was unveiled at a photoshoot featuring both captains aboard a double-decker bus in Lahore.
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam and Hyderabad Kings Men captain Marnus Labuschagne took turns at the bus’s steering wheel during the promotional event.
Peshawar Zalmi are seeking their second PSL title, having previously won the championship in 2017, nearly a decade before this season’s final.
Hyderabad Kingsmen are playing in their debut PSL season and are aiming to claim the title in their very first year of competition.
The winning team will receive prize money of five hundred thousand United States dollars, in addition to lifting the PSL Infinity Trophy on Sunday night.
