The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed the trading week on a negative note, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index losing 4,816 points amid sustained selling pressure.
The index settled at 170,511 points by the end of the week after moving within a range of 9,212 points. The KSE-100 Index reached a weekly high of 175,353 points before falling to a low of 166,141 points.
Trading activity remained significant during the week, with investors exchanging 3.19 billion shares. The total value of traded shares stood at Rs134.99 billion.
Meanwhile, the market’s overall capitalization declined by Rs613 billion, falling to Rs19,015 billion by the end of the week.
The PSX recorded a weak weekly performance as the benchmark index remained under pressure throughout the trading sessions, reflecting continued selling activity in the market.
