Pta Opens Bidding Process For Fortiweb Firewall License Renewal

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has officially begun the bidding process for a key cybersecurity upgrade that includes the license renewal of two Fortiweb1000E Web Application Firewalls. The procurement also covers critical support and hardware warranty, reflecting the authority’s ongoing focus on strengthening its digital security framework.

The Invitation to Bids was issued on October 30, 2025. The process follows the Single Stage, One Envelope procedure under the Public Procurement Rules 2004. The procurement item includes license renewal for the two firewalls, along with support and hardware warranty. Authorized Tier I and Tier II partners are eligible to apply, with the contract planned under the Financial Year 2025 to 2026 budget.

All proposals must be submitted through the PPRA EPADS system, as manual submissions will not be accepted. A Bid Securing Declaration is mandatory for all submissions.
