The provincial government of Punjab has set aside Rs700 million to train thousands of women in digital and tech skills through a newly launched programme called e-Learn She Earn.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the initiative, which is jointly run by the Punjab Skills Development Fund and the Women Development Department of Punjab.
The programme offers women free three-month online training in high-demand digital fields, along with equipment and financial support throughout the course.
Courses on offer
The curriculum targets skills that allow women to enter the global gig economy and begin earning remotely from home soon after completing their training.
- Digital Marketing: Selling products and building brands online
- Graphic Design: Making visuals with design tools
- Virtual Assistance: Remote help with admin tasks
- Digital Customer Care: Online support and client service
What participants receive
To ensure no financial or technical barrier prevents women from joining, the Punjab government provides all selected candidates with several forms of direct support.
- Free laptop provided to each selected candidate for professional use
- Monthly stipend paid throughout the duration of the training
- Internet access support to ensure reliable online connectivity
- Recognised professional certification awarded upon successful completion
Who can apply
Applicants must be female residents of Punjab between the ages of 15 and 35, though some specialised tracks accept candidates up to the age of 40.

- Residency: Permanent resident of Punjab with a valid CNIC or B-Form
- Education: Minimum Matric; Intermediate preferred depending on chosen course
How to apply
Candidates can register through two official portals managed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) respectively.
Selection is merit-based, and applicants typically sit an initial aptitude assessment test before being offered a place on their chosen course.
