The government of Punjab has decided to launch the “Made in Punjab” program aimed at promoting local products and accelerating industrial growth across the province.
Officials said the initiative is designed to boost production, generate employment opportunities, and strengthen the local manufacturing sector.
As part of the plan, authorities have proposed the establishment of a Cluster Development Authority to modernize industrial infrastructure, logistics, and supply chains, making businesses more competitive.
The program will also emphasize the adoption of modern technology and innovation, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which are expected to receive special incentives and support facilities.
Additionally, an apprenticeship program will be introduced to enhance job opportunities for youth, while an integrated e-commerce component will enable businesses to expand into digital markets.
Officials noted that the development of industrial clusters would help reduce production costs, while improvements in logistics are expected to increase efficiency and overall business activity.
The government also plans to ensure regulatory facilitation and compliance with international standards to create a more attractive environment for foreign investment.
Authorities believe the initiative will significantly boost exports and industrial output, positioning Punjab as a key hub for manufacturing and trade in the region.
