Bus stand operations on Peshawar Road in Rawalpindi have been fully restored, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hassan Waqar Cheema announced to the public.
District Administration in Rawalpindi had suspended all public and goods transport across the city on April 19 with immediate effect.
The suspension order specifically covered buses, vans, and goods vehicles operating throughout Rawalpindi during the designated restriction period.
Private and personal vehicles were not included in the restriction and continued to operate normally across Rawalpindi throughout that period.
The administration issued the transport suspension as part of security measures and said further updates would be provided later.
Following the latest announcement, bus stand services on Peshawar Road have resumed and public transport is now fully operational again.
