RedMagic has confirmed the launch date for its next flagship gaming phone, the RedMagic 12 Pro+. The company will unveil the device on October 15 at 2:30 PM local time in China. The announcement follows last week’s reveal, when RedMagic confirmed the phone would arrive in October. The company also shared early details about the phone’s design at the time.
The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC. RedMagic says it has applied its “first-class tuning” to improve gaming performance and visuals. The company also promises better overall performance with the new chipset and tuning. However, more details about the phone’s gaming features will likely be shared during the launch event.
Design will also be a major focus of the RedMagic 12 Pro+. The company says it will be its most comfortable phone to hold, with a thinner and lighter build than its predecessor. RedMagic has also rounded the phone’s corners for a more comfortable grip. The shoulder triggers have received a similar rounded design as part of the overall redesign.
Another highlight is the display. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will have bezels measuring under 1mm on all four sides, giving the screen a cleaner look.
