Respond.io, an AI-powered customer conversation management platform co-founded by Pakistani entrepreneur Hassan Ahmed, has raised $62.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Camber Partners, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst and existing investors.
The company will use the new investment to support its global expansion as it strengthens its position in the mid-market business sector, helping companies manage customer interactions across messaging and voice channels.
“This round accelerates Respond.io’s global expansion as the customer conversation management platform for mid-market B2C businesses that generate revenue from customer chats and calls,” the company said.
Hassan Ahmed founded Respond.io in 2017 alongside Chief Executive Officer Gerardo Salandra and Chief Operating Officer Yaroslav Kudritskiy, and now serves as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. The company initially launched in Hong Kong as an AI chatbot startup under the name Rocketbots before relocating to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and rebranding as Respond.io in 2019 to focus on omnichannel customer communications.
Following the funding announcement, Respond.io confirmed it has reached $35 million in annual recurring revenue and recorded 169% year-over-year growth, driven by increasing adoption of its platform. While companies typically raise Series B funding to finance early-stage software-as-a-service operations, Respond.io has already achieved significant revenue growth and plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate expansion efforts rather than build foundational infrastructure.
“After building a strong portfolio of customers in APAC, LATAM and EMEA, we’re using this funding to accelerate local acquisitions and build a stronger regional presence for businesses in North America and Europe,” the company said.
Respond.io enables businesses to manage customer conversations across multiple platforms, including WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, and WeChat.
The company’s platform serves more than 10,000 enterprises across over 180 countries and processes more than 2 billion messages each quarter, positioning it as one of the more significant Pakistani-founded technology success stories of 2026.
