Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is about to make sharing files with Apple devices much easier. Starting with South Korea, the new smartphones will soon support Quick Share’s AirDrop compatibility, letting users send and receive files seamlessly across platforms. The rollout will later expand to Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.
The feature first appeared on Google’s Pixel 10 series in November 2025. At that time, Google promised that AirDrop and Quick Share interoperability would also reach older Pixel devices and other Android phones. Last month, Pixel 9 users gained the functionality, and now Samsung is following suit with the Galaxy S26 lineup.
According to Samsung, the update will bring AirDrop support to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Users will only need to open Settings, go to Connected devices, tap Quick Share, and turn on the “Share with Apple devices” toggle. Once activated, files can be shared effortlessly with Apple devices and received in return.
Other Android brands will eventually get AirDrop support through Quick Share, though no exact timeline is available. Oppo recently confirmed that its new Find X9 series will also gain the feature soon, hinting at a broader push for cross-platform file sharing in Android.
