New leaks have revealed fresh details about Samsung’s next foldable lineup, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. The source, known for early Samsung insights, shared updated information about the device. He also recently discussed the wide-screen Galaxy Z Fold8.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is expected to keep the same 215-gram weight as the Galaxy Z Fold7. At the same time, it may bring a larger 5,000mAh battery. In comparison, Samsung used a 4,400mAh battery in the Z Fold7.
Charging is also expected to improve. The upcoming foldable is tipped to support 45W fast charging. This would offer faster top-ups than earlier models.
In terms of design, the device may become slightly thinner when unfolded. Reports suggest a thickness of just 4.1mm in its open state. However, most other dimensions are likely to stay close to the Galaxy Z Fold7.

Additionally, display sizes are not expected to change much. Samsung seems focused on internal upgrades rather than a full redesign for this generation. The Source also shared a side-by-side look at the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. The comparison highlights small design differences between the two models.
Meanwhile, Samsung is expected to launch these foldables alongside the Galaxy Z Flip8. The launch event is reportedly planned for July 22.
