Samsung is Bringing Google Photos to AI TVs in 2026 with DeepMind Features

Casting photos to your TV is officially a thing of the past. Samsung Electronics announced today, December 29, 2025, that it plans to bring Google Photos natively to its Samsung AI TV lineup. This partnership aims to integrate personal media directly into the living room experience without requiring Chromecast or sideloading workarounds.

First Look: Memories & Exclusivity

Samsung plans to launch the integration in phases. The first feature, debuting in early 2026, is Memories. This feature displays curated stories based on specific people, locations, and meaningful moments.

Notably, Samsung secured a major advantage here. The company revealed that the Memories feature on the big screen will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for six months. Users simply need to sign in to their Google Account, and their photo libraries will appear instantly in a cinematic format.

Powered by “Nano Banana” & Google DeepMind

The integration goes deeper than a simple gallery viewer. Later in 2026, Samsung will roll out “Create with AI” capabilities. This suite utilises Nano Banana, Google DeepMind’s image generation and editing model.

These advanced tools include:

  • Themed Templates: Playful transformations for photos.
  • Remix: A feature that allows users to change the art style of an existing image.
  • Photo to Video: Generative tech that brings still moments to life as short videos.

Additionally, a “Personalised Results” feature will launch later in the year. This allows users to view AI-generated slideshows based on specific topics, such as “ocean”, “hiking”, or “Paris”.

Deep Ecosystem Integration by Samsung

Samsung is weaving Google Photos directly into the TV’s operating system. The app will integrate with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC). Consequently, photos will surface naturally through the Daily+ and Daily Board interfaces. This ensures memories greet users contextually throughout the day, rather than hiding behind a standalone app icon.

Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at Samsung’s Visual Display Business, Kevin Lee, said:

Samsung TVs have always brought people together, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal.

Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One, added that the move helps people reconnect with their memories in new ways.
