The South Korean tech giant and world’s leading phone maker — Samsung is planning to introduce a refreshed version of its A-series and M-series smartphones by attaching an “s” suffix to the phones which will be upgraded with certain new features. Earlier this month, Samsung had announced the Samsung Galaxy A10s, the Samsung Galaxy A30s, and the Samsung Galaxy A50s.

As of now, a leaked marketing teaser has revealed that Samsung is planning to launch a new phone with a massive 6,000 mAh battery, while separate reports suggest that this could be the Samsung Galaxy M30s. Interestingly, this would be the first Galaxy phone to feature such a heavy battery.

One of the leading tech YouTubers, TechnicalGuruji has shared a marketing teaser for an upcoming Samsung phone, to be added in the M-series, which would come with a 6,000 mAh battery. However, there’s no info about the source of the teaser.

Meanwhile, SamMobile has also revealed the specifications of this device. According to them, the Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F will feature a 6.4″ FHD+ 2400 x 1080 display. The phone is also speculated to feature an Exynos 9610 SoC and will come in 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage variants. This further affirms the promo image leak.

Moreover, the camera of the upcoming phone will also see an upgrade, as the Galaxy M30 will come with a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 48MP, f/2.0 sensor, an 8MP, f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP, f/2.2 depth sensor. Selfies on this phone will be handled by the 16MP, f/2.0 front camera.

Notably, this huge battery is unlikely to be complemented with a super-fast charge solution, but the sheer capacity should allow for very comfortable usage even under heavy use scenarios. Considering the fact that Samsung has introduced 45W charging support for recently launched Galaxy Note series, it will certainly go with at least 25W charging support for M-series. We do hope Samsung at least considers making the phone capable of fast charging, even if they do not bundle in a fast charger and if it has to be purchased separately. We also predict that Samsung would likely be marketing reverse wired charging capabilities for this device.

The Samsung Galaxy M30s is expected to launch next month. It remains to be seen how Samsung prices this device. Samsung’s budget and mid-range options have seen widespread adoption riding on the company’s offline distribution and sales channels, so a mid-year refresh should give the company some more talking points right before the Diwali shopping season.
