Samsung is holding a press conference in Seoul, South Korea on January 23 at 10 AM (6 AM in Pakistan) to reveal the reason behind the exploding Note7 devices and steps taken to ensure such incidents are avoided in the future. The press conference will be live streamed on Samsung’s website.
Note7, which was released in September 2016, was first replaced and then ultimately recalled due to multiple incidents of device exploding due to unknown reasons. The device is banned for use on nearly all major airlines, including PIA. Till date, Samsung has failed to give any convincing explanation for the fiasco ensued by faulty Note7 devices. However, it is common knowledge that Samsung was conducting an internal investigation to determine the defect in exploding devices. A statement from Samsung has announced the conclusion of this investigation:
“Samsung Electronics, as well as independent expert organizations who conducted their own investigation into various aspects of the Galaxy Note7 incidents, will share their findings. Samsung will discuss the findings of the investigations and unveil new measures Samsung has implemented in response to the incidents.”
The press conference will start at 6 AM PST and will be streamed live on Samsung’s official website.
