The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has invited members of the public to participate in its Employment Conditions and Inflation Expectations Survey for September 2026, seeking views on employment conditions, inflation and the overall economic situation.
The central bank said public participation would help it better understand economic perceptions and expectations. The feedback could support more informed policymaking and strengthen the SBP’s engagement with citizens.
The survey seeks public views on current employment conditions and expectations about the direction of inflation in the coming period.
Public expectations are considered an important indicator for policymakers, particularly as the SBP works to maintain domestic price stability.
The central bank currently maintains a medium-term inflation target of 5% to 7%.
The SBP has encouraged citizens to participate in the September survey and share their views on employment and inflation trends.
