The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will issue a Rs.75 commemorative coin on 25 May 2026, marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
Pakistan and China established diplomatic relations on 21 May 1951, and the new coin commemorates this milestone with symbolic design elements representing both nations.
The coin will be available to the public through exchange counters of SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices across Pakistan beginning 25 May 2026.
The round coin features serrated edges, weighs 19 grams, measures 36 millimeters, and is composed of copper‑nickel alloy containing 75% copper and 25% nickel.
On the obverse side, a waxing crescent moon and star appear centrally, with “Islami Jamhuria Pakistan” inscribed in Urdu script along the upper periphery.
The year 2026 is inscribed below the crescent, flanked by wheat sprigs, while the denomination “75” and “Rupia” in Urdu script appear on either side.
On the reverse side, the wording “75th Anniversary of Pakistan and China Diplomatic Relations” is inscribed along the upper periphery in English script.
The lower periphery bears the words “Trust Friendship Support” in English script, reinforcing the commemorative theme of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.
At the center, national flags of Pakistan and China are depicted above an artistically designed numeral “75,” symbolizing the anniversary of diplomatic ties between both nations.
Years “1951” and “2026” are inscribed on either side of the numeral “75,” representing the duration of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
Above the flags, the wording “Pak Cheen Safarati Tauluqat Kay 75 Saal” appears in Urdu and Chinese scripts, emphasizing the multilingual representation of the milestone.
