SNGPL to Temporarily Suspend Gas Supply in Five Islamabad Sectors for Maintenance

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in five sectors of Islamabad as part of essential maintenance work on the main pipeline. The planned shutdown aims to ensure safer and more reliable gas delivery to residents.

According to an official statement, gas supply will remain suspended from 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 9, to facilitate maintenance at Shaheen Chowk, E-9. The affected sectors include E-7, E-8, E-9, E-10, and F-8.

An SNGPL spokesperson stated,

“This maintenance activity is part of our ongoing system improvement plan to enhance supply stability and safety. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and appreciate customers’ cooperation during this period.”

Residents have been advised to make alternate arrangements and use gas appliances cautiously once the supply is restored.

This initiative follows SNGPL’s broader efforts to upgrade aging infrastructure and reduce pressure fluctuations in key residential zones of the capital  a move welcomed by many consumers seeking long-term supply stability.
