A massive rumor has hit the fighting game community. Street Fighter 6 might receive its biggest crossover yet. A new leak claims Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 will join the game as a Season 4 DLC character.
Take this information with a grain of salt as others have pointed out that capcom tends to put out fake information as a distraction. Capcom will make an official announcement eventually and we can see if this info posted by the leaker turns out to be true or not.

Street Fighter 6 Season 4 Roster Leak
User “RnK_Clan” originally posted the details in a now-deleted Reddit thread. Yesterday, X user “Moonsault Slayer” shared this information. The leak lists Tifa Lockhart alongside returning favorites Vega, Gouken, and Mike Haggar from Final Fight.
Interestingly, this leaker possesses a proven track record. They correctly predicted Terry, Elena, and Bison for Season 2. Therefore, fans are taking this rumor seriously. However, Capcom frequently releases fake information to confuse dataminers. Players should expect an official answer soon. Capcom usually reveals new trailers at the Summer Game Fest.
Beating Tekken 8 to the Punch
Many fans heavily requested Tifa for Tekken 8. Yet, Bandai Namco has different plans. They already confirmed three characters for Tekken 8’s Season 3 in 2026:
- Kunimitsu
- Bob
- Roger Jr.
Still, a character slot is vacant for a winter surprise. Consequently, Tifa cannot join Tekken until at least 2027. If this leak proves true, Street Fighter 6 will easily beat Bandai Namco to the punch.
Tekken 8 has had countless problems since the release of Season 2. But it seems like Bandai Namco is finally listening to the playerbase, which is clearly evident in their latest 3.00.02 Patch. Tekken 8 is finally moving in the right direction, but losing Tifa is a big loss for them. Some theories suggest that “Miary Zo” started as an early concept of Tifa in Tekken, as a lot of her normals, especially the wall pounce, really give Tifa vibes. Speculations are being made that something might have happened internally, so Bandai Namco reworked her into a new character.
Capcom & SNK Crossovers Expanding
Capcom recently wrapped up Season 3, featuring Alex, C. Viper, Sagat, and the mysterious dimension-hopper Ingrid. Previously, the Street Fighter franchise avoided guest characters. That strategy changed when Akira joined Street Fighter 5. Then, Capcom pushed boundaries further by adding SNK’s Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui in Street Fighter 6 Season 2.
Furthermore, SNK quickly returned the favor. They added Chun-Li and Ken Masters to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as DLC fighters. Ultimately, this growing partnership has sparked fresh rumors about a potential Capcom vs SNK 3 game currently in development.
