Lahore traffic police intercepted a pickup truck near Qurtaba Chowk carrying a total of 12 outstanding e-challans worth Rs128,000 in unpaid traffic violation fines.
Officers stopped the vehicle during a routine check and accessed its records, revealing 12 separate traffic violations that had accumulated fines totalling Rs128,000 across multiple incidents.
The driver was required to pay the full outstanding amount of Rs128,000 on the spot before traffic police authorities allowed the vehicle to be released and driven away.
The Chief Traffic Officer of Lahore confirmed that enforcement operations against vehicles with unpaid e-challans are continuing actively across the city under ongoing crackdown measures.
The CTO urged citizens to comply with all traffic regulations to avoid accumulating heavy fines, warning that vehicles with outstanding e-challans would continue to face strict enforcement action.
