vivo may launch the X500 series later this year, following the debut of the X300 lineup in October last year. The company introduced the X300 and X300 Pro as the first phones in the series, and their successors could arrive around the same time in 2026, or possibly earlier.
Now, fresh listings spotted in the reports suggest that the upcoming lineup will include at least three models. These devices are expected to launch as the X500, X500 Pro, and X500e.
Interestingly, vivo appears ready to skip the X400 branding entirely. The company is likely avoiding the number because of tetraphobia, a common fear of the number four in several Asian markets.
The X500 will replace the X300, while the X500 Pro will succeed the X300 Pro. However, the X500e stands out the most. vivo never launched an X300e model, so its position in the lineup remains unclear for now.
Earlier rumors also revealed some possible hardware details for the new phones. The standard X500 could feature a 6.4-inch display, while the X500 Pro may arrive with a larger 6.9-inch screen.
On the camera side, vivo is reportedly testing a 50MP LOFIC main sensor alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. In addition, both devices are expected to pack batteries larger than 7,000mAh, which could bring major battery life improvements to the series.
