Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi K Pad 2 alongside the K90 Max smartphone. The new tablet continues the brand’s focus on compact devices with high-end performance. It is designed for users who want strong hardware in a smaller and portable form factor.
The Xiaomi Redmi K Pad 2 is powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 processor. It comes with multiple memory options, including 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM. Storage choices include 256GB and 512GB. This combination is aimed at delivering smooth performance across gaming and multitasking.
On the front, the tablet features an 8.8-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3008×1880. It also supports a 165Hz refresh rate, which improves smoothness during scrolling and gaming. In addition, the screen reaches up to 1,100 nits peak brightness for better outdoor visibility. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for added durability.
For cameras, the Xiaomi Redmi K Pad 2 includes a 13MP rear sensor. On the front, it carries an 8MP camera for video calls and selfies. While the focus is not on photography, the setup covers daily communication needs.
Powering the device is a large 9,100 mAh battery. It supports 67W wired fast charging for quick power-ups. It also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing the tablet to charge other devices when required. The software experience is handled by Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.
In terms of pricing, the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is set at CNY 3,399 ($498). The 12GB RAM and 256GB variant costs CNY 3,799 ($557). Meanwhile, the top-end 16GB RAM and 512GB model is priced at CNY 4,799 ($703). Color options include Deep Black, Space Silver, and Electric Violet.
