Xiaomi unveils Mi A3 with OLED display and 48MP rear camera

The Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has just unveiled its latest midrange smartphone Xiaomi Mi A3 in an exclusive event in Spain. Some of the really good features about the Mi A3 in addition to its stock Android software are a bigger battery, OLED screen and 48MP camera on the rear.

Xiaomi has added three major upgrades to Mi A3 as compared to its predecessor i.e Xiaomi Mi A2: smarter performance, better battery life, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. As suggested by previous leaks and rumors, the Mi A3 finally features an 11nm Snapdragon 665 processor inside for faster processing.

It must be noted that Mi A3 is actually the rebranded Mi CC9e that Xiaomi launched in China back in May. The only difference between the Mi A3 and the Mi CC9e is the software. The Mi CC9e runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top while the Mi A3 comes with Google Android One program.

The Mi A3 comes packed with a massive 4030mAh battery, so expect it to last for one full day in single charge very easily. The phone boasts 4GB of RAM memory and 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. The good bit here is the Xiaomi Mi A3 also allows users to expand the storage even further via microSD card. Mi A3 comes packed with a 6.088-inch OLED display that offers a screen resolution of 1520×720 pixels and Gorilla Glass 5 protection layer on the top.

For the camera side of things, Mi A3 includes triple cameras on the back panel and single shooter for selfies that sits inside the drop notch on the front. On the rear panel, the Mi A3 includes a primary 48MP sensor with an aperture size of f/1.79, secondary 8MP wide-angle camera sensor and third is a 2MP depth sensor. However, the rear camera of the Mi A3 captures pictures in 12MP in default but you can change that in settings. For selfies, the Mi A3 brings a 32MP sensor on the front.

As far as the price of the phone is concerned, the phone is currently available in European markets where it costs around 250 euros that is over PKR 44,000, however, if you spend 30 euros more, you may get a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The availability in emerging markets like Pakistan is not clear at the moment.
