Yango Ride has released its 2024–2025 Safety Report, highlighting continued progress in using technology, verification systems and human-led support to strengthen safety across its markets. In Pakistan, the report reveals a 31% decline in post-trip contacts, reflecting the impact of privacy-focused communication tools designed to help passengers and partner drivers communicate without exposing their personal phone numbers.
The report outlines Yango Ride’s approach to safety across every stage of the journey, from pre-ride verification to protected communication, route monitoring, and post-ride accountability. Globally, reported grave traffic violations declined by 31%, from 9.83 incidents per million trips in 2024 to 6.76 in 2025.
Across MENA and South Asia, reported reckless driving incidents fell by 47%, from 19.25 to 10.1 per million trips, with further declines recorded across Africa and Latin America.
In Pakistan, privacy-protecting communication technology has played an important role in improving the experience after a trip. Through features such as in-app calling and number masking, communication can take place without either passengers or partner drivers needing to share their permanent personal contact details. According to the latest data included in the report, post-trip contacts decreased by 31% in Pakistan, compared with 81% in Peru and 78% in Colombia.
The report also highlights Yango Ride’s verification measures, including driver’s licence, identity and vehicle checks. During 2024–2025, Yango expanded selfie-based anti-fraud measures to Pakistan and other markets to help detect attempts to bypass identity controls.
Globally, Yango Ride blocked 17,275 passenger accounts during 2024–2025 after identifying signs of possible fraud. Its safety framework also uses ratings, reports, GPS signals and driving-style analysis to identify repeated unsafe behaviour and take appropriate action.
Urgent support operates 24/7 across Yango Ride markets, with first contact targeted within five minutes in 90% of urgent cases. Technology helps identify urgent requests, while trained specialists review and respond to each situation.

In Pakistan, Yango Ride has connected its safety tools with public infrastructure through the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. When users contact emergency number 15 through Yango’s in-app safety feature, relevant trip and location details can be automatically shared with the police to support a faster response.
Across Yango Ride’s global operations, an incident or near miss is reported on average once every 64,000 kilometres travelled. Going forward, Yango is increasingly focused on earlier risk detection and prevention.
