Pakistani internet users have had to resort to YouTube substitutes ever since the ban on the world-famous video-sharing service went into effect almost 2 years ago. is one of such simpler and light-weight replacements for YouTube that is accessed by almost 500,000 users daily., in a bid to serve an even larger number of users, has recently developed and published an Android application which lets the users access YouTube directly from their smartphones via Although the website itself offers a responsive design which can be viewed from a mobile browser, and the app is essentially a web-browser to offer a more streamlined experience, a dedicated app does eliminate some steps and provides room for future improvements and features.

The app itself offers a tab-based user interface, much like the parent website itself. A user can look-up for videos using the search functionality which is much more efficient when compared to other YouTube alternative available right now. Search returns video and/or channel results which can also be sorted according to relevance, views, rating, or date using the tabs. Hitting the download button under any video, however, takes the user back to the default browser to proceed with the download.

Do give the app a try and leave a comment below to tell us if you find the app to be useful, or to mention an alternative that you prefer.

Here’s the Play Store download link:
