Nintendo just dropped a massive tease for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. As the November 5 release date approaches, fans finally have their first official look at the Dark Link boss fight in the upcoming Zelda remake. Furthermore, this footage proves Nintendo is fully utilizing the power of the Switch 2.

Iconic Bosses & Major Upgrades
The original N64 version featured incredibly memorable boss fights against foes like King Dodongo, Twinrova, and Ganondorf. Now, nearly three decades later, developers are bringing those iconic battles to the next generation. Overall, the remake stays faithful to the original story beats. However, players will definitely notice some major changes.
Specifically, Nintendo added full voice acting and heavily overhauled the visuals. Additionally, the developers introduced a brand-new area called the Hall of Fallen Foes. This new feature allows players to view enemies they already defeated. Consequently, it presents the perfect opportunity for exciting rematches.
Dark Link Revealed in Recent Zelda Remake Trailer
Nintendo UK recently uploaded the newest video to its YouTube channel. The trailer kicks off with Ganondorf playing the piano. Then, it quickly jumps into a montage of Link battling major enemies. Importantly, this includes a highly anticipated look at Dark Link. Players famously encounter this specific villain in the infamous Water Temple.
In the brief snippet, the villain jumps and perfectly balances on the Master Sword. Fortunately, Nintendo kept his classic design mostly intact. The shadowy foe still sports his signature black-and-white look alongside creepy glowing red eyes. Previously, this memorable design even inspired an armor set in ‘Breath of the Wild’. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that Nintendo kept the aesthetic identical.
Time Travel & Switch 2 Capabilities
Time travel remains a central mechanic in this remake. Players will still complete certain tasks as young Link and handle other challenges as an adult. Since Dark Link appears later in the game, adult Link must face him.
Ultimately, this trailer contains some minor spoilers for newer players. Therefore, fans wanting a completely fresh experience might want to avoid the footage. Regardless, the remake clearly serves as a massive technical showcase for the newly launched Switch 2 system. Nintendo pulled out all the stops. Now, veterans and newcomers alike can look forward to a much prettier version of the beloved N64 classic.
