5 apps to download before leaving for Hajj

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has launched various apps to assist Hajj pilgrims in performing their Hajj and staying in Saudi Arabia. The apps launched by the government are available for Android users and provide information and guidelines to perform the pilgrimage with ease.

Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and every year Muslims from all around the world go to Saudi Arabia to perform this religious deed. This year around 200,000 Pakistanis are expected to perform Hajj, and for that reason, the government of Pakistan with an aim to provide better facilities to all the Hajj pilgrim has launched five different apps.

Following are the must-have apps that people leaving for Hajj should download in their mobile phones.

Mina Locator App:

Mina Locator App will help people locate their residence, Mina Maktab, train stations, the route to different camps, mosques, hospitals and all other important places in Mina with reference to the user’s current location. The app is available in the Android app store, and you can download the app here.

AlMaqsad:

AIMaqsad mobile application provides detailed 3D indoor navigation for Masjid Al Haram. The app is created to assist visitors in determining their location accurately inside the corridor of the Grand Mosque and guide their way anywhere they want to go during their stay. It can be downloaded here.

PakHajj Muavin:

This application helps the Hajj pilgrims to check their own details regarding their group’s information, buildings that they are staying in, Makrat details, travel information and other details about hajjis. The PakHajj Muavin can be downloaded here.

Rehnuma-e-hajj:

The Rehnuma-e-Hajj app provides guidelines about the Manasik-e-Hajj and provides information about the complete set of rituals during the pilgrimage. It can be downloaded through here.

Pak Hajj Guide:

Pak Hajj Guide app educates the pilgrims about how to make preparations for this religious event, it includes performing Umrah and Hajj, Ziarat-e-Madinah, and things to remember for the pilgrimage.

The Saudi government is also making efforts to provide the best facilities to the Hajj pilgrims, the Saudi government has announced one million SIM cards and free internet facility as a gift for the Hajj pilgrims arriving at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
