Zarrar Hasham Khan Takes Over as PTCL Chairman
ISLAMABAD: Zarrar Hasham Khan has taken over as the new PTCL Chairman, replacing Azfar Manzoor, as per an official announcement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
The appointment took effect on March 10, 2025.
Khan, who has served as Secretary of the IT and Telecom Division since September 2024, has an extensive background in technology and telecommunications, spanning over 20 years. He holds a degree from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute and has pursued advanced studies at Harvard Business School, Oxford University, and London Business School, alongside earning an MBA from the University of Warwick.
Khan’s leadership experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at Saudi Telecom Company in Kuwait, where he played a key role in launching one of the world’s largest 5G networks in 2019.
Additionally, PTCL announced that Mohamed Karim Bennis has stepped down as a director of the company.
