Pakistan Army Downs Indian Drones Over Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Tensions between Pakistan and India have escalated further following the interception of Indian drones in Pakistani airspace. In Rawalpindi, specifically, the Pakistan Army successfully shot down two of these drones.

One drone was intercepted in the vicinity of the Race Course Transit Camp, while the second was downed near the Rawalpindi cricket Stadium on one of the shops in the food street nearby. These locations are considered sensitive due to their proximity to military establishments and civilian areas within the city.

While the two drones in Rawalpindi were successfully intercepted without causing casualties but one person was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital, a source confirms. Other drone incursions in different cities had more severe outcomes. Some of these incidents resulted in deaths, injuries and damage to military assets. In Miano, Sindh, one civilian was martyred and another injured.

Furthermore, near Lahore, one of the drones managed to partially engage a military target before it was neutralized. As a result, four Pakistan Army personnel sustained injuries. Minor damage to military equipment was also reported in Lahore.
