Vivo could become the latest smartphone maker to enter the growing wide-screen phone market. According to a new leak, the company is developing its first wide-screen candybar-style smartphone. The device is reportedly scheduled to launch in 2027.
According to the source, Vivo’s upcoming phone will feature a display smaller than 6.5 inches. However, no further details about its specifications or design have surfaced so far.
Huawei introduced the trend earlier this year with its Pura X View. Since then, several Chinese brands have reportedly shown interest in similar devices. These include Oppo, Honor, and Xiaomi.
The leaked details also suggest that Vivo could follow a display size similar to its competitors. Huawei’s Pura X View features a 6.39-inch screen. Meanwhile, Oppo’s rumored Reno X wide-screen phone is expected to feature a 6.35-inch display.
For now, details about Vivo’s device remain limited. More leaks could reveal its design, hardware, and other features ahead of its expected 2027 launch.
