Oppo Find X9 Ultra

Oppo’s next flagship may be closer than expected. A fresh rumor suggests the Find X9 Ultra could launch in March, alongside a notable camera overhaul. According to the leak, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will feature a powerful quad-camera setup. Each sensor appears to be chosen for a specific shooting range.

The main camera is said to use Sony’s new Lytia 901 sensor. It is a 1/1.12-inch sensor with a 200MP resolution. The camera will reportedly offer a 23mm focal length. This suggests a strong focus on detail and dynamic range.

Next, the ultrawide camera may rely on Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor. This sensor measures 1/2.76 inches and delivers 50MP resolution. The ultrawide lens is expected to have a 15mm focal length. That should allow wider scenes with minimal distortion.

Interestingly, the same ISOCELL JN5 sensor is tipped for another role. It is rumored to power a 230mm telephoto camera. This lens will support 10x optical zoom. Using the same sensor twice could help maintain image consistency.

The final camera appears to be the most striking. Oppo is said to include a 70mm periscope telephoto camera. This one will use OmniVision’s OV52A sensor. It is a 1/1.28-inch sensor with a 200MP resolution. The camera will reportedly offer 3x optical zoom.

If accurate, this setup would stand out. Two zoom cameras are included, but the shorter zoom gets the larger sensor. That choice could improve portrait shots and mid-range zoom quality. However, the information comes from an untested source. Details may change before launch.

Even so, the rumored hardware points to an ambitious camera strategy. Oppo seems to be pushing sensor size and resolution together. If the leak holds, the Find X9 Ultra could target mobile photography fans directly.
