The Pakistan Super League expanded its footprint on Thursday as two new franchises were awarded through a competitive auction process. OZ Developers secured the Sialkot team with the highest bid, while FKS Group purchased the Hyderabad franchise for Rs1.75 billion. With these additions, the PSL now features eight teams, strengthening its commercial and regional reach ahead of future seasons.

With established franchises like Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans already in place, the addition of Sialkot and Hyderabad is expected to boost regional engagement and sponsorship interest.
