The Maryam Nawaz Center of Excellence for Autism has announced a large-scale recruitment drive, offering highly competitive salaries for senior, clinical, and support staff positions. The initiative aims to strengthen specialized autism care services in Punjab, with top roles carrying monthly salaries as high as Rs. 1.5 million.
According to official sources, the center plans to appoint a principal on a monthly salary of Rs. 1.5 million, while two vice principals will be hired at Rs. 1 million each per month. The role of Development Behavior Officer has been set at Rs. 285,000 per month, reflecting the technical expertise required for autism-focused interventions.
In addition, charge nurses, life skills coaches, and sensory integration specialists will receive Rs. 100,000 per month, highlighting the government’s focus on multidisciplinary support for children with autism. Salaries for support staff, including drivers, cooks, conductors, housekeeping staff, and security guards, have also been fixed at competitive levels based on their respective roles.
The Maryam Nawaz Center of Excellence for Autism is part of Punjab’s broader push to modernize and expand special education and healthcare services. The recruitment drive follows growing demand for professional autism care facilities, as awareness and diagnosis rates continue to rise across the province.
An official from the Special Education Department stated, “Thousands of applications have already been received. After scrutiny, shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews to ensure merit-based and transparent hiring.” The official added that the center aims to become a model institution for autism care in Pakistan.
Authorities confirmed that the response from candidates has been overwhelming, indicating strong interest in public-sector roles that combine competitive pay with social impact. Interviews are expected to begin after the ongoing application review process is completed.
